제16회 BESETO Conference 개최

지난 10월 21일 토요일, 서울대학교 17동 서암홀에서 서울법대 주관의 제16회 2023 BESETO Conference가 “Sustainable Developement and the role of Law”를 주제로 진행되었다. 회의는 서울법대 김종보 원장의 환영사로 막을 열었고, 허성욱 교수(서울대학교), Gen Goto 교수(University of Tokyo), Xin Dai 교수(Peking University)가 각 사회를 본 3개의 세션으로 진행되었다.

제1세션은 Kaijie Wu 교수(Peking University)의 발표 “Sustainable Developement and the Codification of Environmental Law in China”와 Hidefusa Iida 교수(University of Tokyo)의 발표 “Sustainability Disclosure and Corporate Governance”로 구성되어 제16회 BESETO의 본격적인 시작을 알렸다.

간단한 점심 식사 후 이어진 제2세션에서는 Kangle Zhang 교수(Peking University)의 “Environmental Financing and Economic Developement: The Law and Politics of ESG” 발표와 오영걸 교수(서울대학교)의 “Sustainable Developement and the Role of comparative Law in East Asia”를 주제로 한 발표가 진행되었다.

마지막 제3세션에서는 Kazuyori Ito 교수(University of Tokyo)의 “Sustainable Developement as a Norm of Value Adjustment in International Economic Law”와 Stephan Sonnenberg 교수(서울대학교)의 “Sustainable Developement Goals: A New One-Size_Fits-All Standard for the World”가 이어졌다.

각 세션 발표 후에는 참석한 구성원들의 열띤 질의응답과 토론이 이어졌다. 폐회식에서는 전종익 교수(서울대학교), Masami Okino 교수(University of Tokyo), Xin Dai(Peking University) 교수가 맺음말을 전하며 이듬해 이어질 제17회 BESETO에 대한 기대를 드러냈다.
