Dr.
Ermal Alfred Frasheri is an expert in international development, public
interest law, international law, and migration with more than 25 years of
experience working across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Africa,
and Asia. His work focuses on the intersection of law, economic development,
and institutional governance, with a particular emphasis on identifying
structural constraints to development, public interest, and designing
institutions capable of addressing complex policy challenges.
Dr.
Frasheri integrates academic research with real-world policy engagement. He has
advised governments, international organizations, and development institutions
on institutional reform, regulatory modernization, economic diversification
strategies, European integration, human rights, and transitional justice. He completed his graduate studies (LL.M.,
S.J.D.) at Harvard Law School and is a former Fulbright Scholar.
Dr. Frasheri has taught courses on international law, corruption, and European
Union at several universities in the United States, including Denver University
Sturm College of Law.
Since
2018, he has served as an Independent Expert on the United Nations
Committee on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of
Their Families, contributing to the oversight of international human rights
standards in migration.
Through
his scholarship, teaching, and international policy work, Dr. Frasheri seeks to
bridge academic knowledge and practical policy solutions, contributing to
stronger institutions, more effective governance oriented around public
interest, and sustainable development in an increasingly interconnected world. |
